Meet Divisional Director and Managing Consultant, Andy Strong
Why did you join Oakstone?
Because there was an opportunity to move into recruitment and build a business in Dorset with Paul, I also wanted a career path where I got out, what I put in (and retail wasn’t that place, which is where I’d been the previous 10 years)
How long have you been here?
What’s the best thing about the management?
Me 😉 – Joking aside, transparency, openness, collaborative, respected approach Paul provides to me and the company
Worse thing about management?
Paul wants to play bowling far too often and then you can’t beat him!
Describe the culture
– As above
What do you do in your spare time?
What spare time!? Keep active, so I can keep eating
What makes you laugh?
Anything, especially when people fall over (provided they don’t hurt themselves of course!)
What makes you angry?
Missed deadlines and failed promises
What frustrates you?
As above and when my laptop plays up
What your greatest strength?
Probably biceps…… 😊 I would say my pride to deliver, at all costs – I’m driven by the fear of failure and not doing what I said I would do
What are your Weakness?
Maybe you can answer this better than I can… don’t be too harsh though… In the past I’ve had issues with being impatient, this is something I’m continually working on, I have good days and not so good days (hopefully less of the latter in 2018…)
