Narvar was founded in 2012 by Amit Sharma, a retail veteran with deep expertise in omnichannel experiences and supply chain management at Apple, Walmart, and Williams-Sonoma. Since then they’ve served over 200 million consumers worldwide (and counting) across 3.1 billion interactions, 36 countries, and 45 languages from offices in San Francisco, London, and Bangalore. Today over 70% of U.S. adults have experienced better retail journeys through Narvar.

Original Requirements

Narvar needed assistance hiring the first people on the ground in the UK.  Having previously turned to Oakstone for help and guidance, Oakstone’s services were a natural choice for them. Narvar wanted to quickly establish themselves in EMEA finding the right people with the right skills and experience as well as being the right cultural fit for the company was key.

Oakstone further assisted Narvar when then wanted to hire the first people on the ground in France, Germany and Australia.

Oakstone’s solution was to become an extension of Narvar’s business by getting to know the company, it’s people and culture as well as possible by investing time with the leadership and understanding the types of profile they wanted to build the company. We spent a lot of time meeting with their US leadership team as well as Narvar’s CEO to fully understand their needs and requirements and understanding why people would join the company.

This enabled us to approach people with opportunities and quickly establish quickly whether they would be a good fit for Narvar, from every perspective.

The Future of the Narvar and Oakstone Partnership

Narvar’s and Oakstone’s partnership now works on a retained agreement.  By committing to the partnership Narvar empowers Oakstone to prioritise their needs to help them launch into international markets such as EMEA and APAC. Oakstone will continue to help grow these teams by approaching and qualifying more people, with the right skills, experience and cultural fit for their company.
