It doesn’t cost more, but it’s guaranteed to deliver you the people you need as swiftly as possible.

Many of our long-standing partners prefer to retain us in order to engage our focus and guaranteed dedication to fill roles to your satisfaction.

Under this arrangement, you make some kind of financial commitment to work with us to source candidates for you.

In return for that commitment, we will invest significant resources to ensure that we identify, professionally contact, fully qualify and interest people in your opportunity who are then shortlisted against a variety of stringent criteria and introduced to you.

Usually, once you have accepted the shortlisted candidates, we will then be paid a second stage fee.

The final portion of the fee is payable once the appropriate candidate has been offered and accepted your role.

Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)

RPO or Recruitment Process Outsourcing is a term a seasoned HR professional will be quite familiar with. It is an initiative taken on by businesses to outsource their recruitment process to third party experts. Here we delve into how RPO’s work and why more businesses are opting to use them.

What is RPO?

As mentioned above, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) is where businesses choose to outsource their entire recruitment process to an outsourced third-party expert. The third-party recruitment expert then designs, manages and executes all parts of the recruitment process, working closely with the hiring managers internally to make sure their goals are aligned.

How does RPO work?

Recruitment Process Outsourcing works by third-party recruiters becoming an extension of the company they are working with. The third-party needs to know the values, goals and culture so they can find the right people for the company. The RPO team need this information in order to qualify candidates, manage future needs and put forward the right people to execute a streamlined process.

Why do companies choose RPO?

Many companies use external recruiters for a number of reasons; however, they often choose multiple recruiters because they think this will allow them to hire people faster. With over 29 years of experience, Oakstone knows this process often fails due to a scattergun approach to executive search. Other issues with using multiple recruiters also include:

  • People getting approached for the same role multiple times by multiple recruiters reflect negatively on your company.

  • Loss of communication. Juggling multiple recruiters for the same role creates even more work for the hiring manager when outsourcing is supposed to make the recruitment process more streamlined.

What are the benefits of using RPO?

By choosing one executive search firm to conduct all your hiring needs, a company can benefit from the following:

  • RPO partners act as an extension of your internal team. They take the time to get to know your company, culture and goals to create a focused recruitment plan.

  • The recruitment process is streamlined with one point of contact so hiring managers can spend more time on more important tasks.

  • RPO partners have strategy experience, which can give you an edge over competitors.

  • RPO partners are committed and invested in your recruitment process, reducing the time it takes to hire someone.

  • RPO partners should be able to offer flexible, tailored and scalable solutions.

  • RPO providers design and follow extensive protocols to ensure that they hire people who meet the organisational needs, not just on paper but also in practice.

  • Having dedicated hiring partners improves the candidate experience.

Quick Fix vs. Investment

An RPO is an investment, resulting in you being able to save money and time as well as saving yourself the hiring and firing of temporary recruitment staff who will have limited experience in your field.  By investing in experts, you can find a flexible, tailored solution to your recruitment needs.

Finding the right executive search firm or recruitment agency for the job is crucial as you need to establish a good working relationship with them (Read more) to be able to trust them to become part of your company.  By ensuring a great partnership, you also outweigh some of the cons of RPOs.
