This May, Oakstone International invited some of our valued partners of the company to The Old Thorns Golf club for a day of appreciation, food, prizes and Golf. Despite the bad weather leading up to the event, the day was glorious - and we even had a few sunburnt faces.
In line with our appreciation for great service, this year Oakstone wanted to show appreciation to our valued clients and partners by hosting an event that would bring everyone together so we could all get to know one another better in a social setting. Our partners day was an intimate gathering starting at 7.30am with bacon sandwiches and a few practice swings. Later everyone headed out on to the course followed by our Marketing Associate, Jodey, filming crew and consultants Jodie Webster and Alice Willmott on a buggy to capture the event on film.
Despite some of our guests being better at golf than others, a great day was had by all - even the individuals who didn't do so well walked away with a few prizes of their own...
A note from Oakstone, CEO, Paul Rayner
"I’m delighted to say that by all accounts our inaugural Oakstone Golf Day was an unmitigated success! Our partners arrived, our playing team arrived, the organisers arrived and thankfully so did the weather! The venue turned out to be a great success with the course in superb condition and despite some of us oldies needing respirators after one or two of the hills I believe we were all delighted with how it played – even if not all of us were delighted with how we played! Nothing new there. Some new acquaintances were made and some existing ones renewed and strengthened. I think it’s fair to say that we all had an enjoyable and productive morning – those who came have said they will come next year so we hope a few additional people that were unable to join this year will also come along and take use of a fun and valuable opportunity to connect with industry peers."
A big thank you to all our guests - we hope you had a fantastic time and hope to see you again next year.
